Our Purpose
Strong morals are guided by principles and built on solid foundations. Morals are not just our beliefs surrounding the treatment of others and our environment, but also our beliefs about how we treat ourselves and speak our inner truth.
We believe in holistic, individualized mental health care that focuses on healing the inner psyche. Every patient is unique and requires a unique approach. Sometimes we emphasize medication and counseling or instead emphasize behavioral changes and connection to one’s community.
We pride ourselves on managing psychiatric conditions with careful medication management, reduced polypharmacy, and promptly addressing patient concerns.
We only see our patients in person. We have all suffered a fracture in our connection and unity since the COVID pandemic and we hope to address these shortcomings by fostering strong connections with our patients. We value the impact that patient education has on outcomes, your goals are our goals. We hope to set you on a path of resiliency and independence and look forward to being a part of your mental health journey.
Why Moral Psychiatry?
Things to Know About Us
We believe psychiatry and counseling should be done in person.
An intake appointment does not guarantee a treatment plan, medications and approaches will always be based on provider discretion, which is based on our assessment.
If you fail to reschedule your initial intake evaluation within 36 hours, you will not be able to make a new appointment for at least 6 months.
If you have commercial insurance, no shows and late cancellations will incur a fee of $200.
We no longer offering telehealth appointments. We prefer to see patients in person to improve communication and do proper assessment.
We prefer to communicate with patients via secure messaging, this feature is available through the MYIO patient portal. If you are having trouble logging into your portal, you can call the front desk for assistance. Portal messages are answered as time permits and will likely be returned sooner than phone calls.
Rude or hostile behavior towards any provider or staff member will not be tolerated. Also, please keep in mind that our front desk gets very busy, please allow them the freedom to do their jobs and help all patients.
Respect our time and we will respect yours. We will go above and beyond for our patients but we are here to help you help yourself. Act with kindness towards yourself and towards others. We are Moral Psychiatry.
